The Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Everystep Oftheway, trained by Oliver McKiernan, for failing to present the horse for identification to an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Sarah Kavanagh, rider of Jane Wilde, trained by C.A.Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount is a very green individual and was ridden to get home. The Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report

372C Care At Home Services (M) M'dn H'dle

G.B. Noonan, rider of Liberty Stream trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got very tired.

372D John Thomas McNamara Series (QR) Hcp Hdl

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ceanndana, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr D.M. Fitzgerald, rider of Johnny Clarke, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr D. M. Fitzgerald stated that he felt he had put his stick down when he felt his chance of winning or being placed had gone. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr D.M. Fitzgerald was in breach of R10.3(b) in that he used his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for eight race days.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr Pat Taaffe, rider of Mastermind, concerning his use of the whip in in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr. Pat Taaffe accepted that he was in breach of the whip rules and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr Pat Taaffe was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for three racedays.

372E Bar One Racing Guaranteed Odds Beg. S'ch

P. Townend, rider of Flame Bearer trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tired.

A. McCurtin, rider of Moral Of The Story (GB) trained by J.C.Hurley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was outpaced throughout the race.

372F Clinton Higgins Accountants H'cap Schase

Owing to the low elevation of the sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fences 1 & 2 to be omitted from this race.

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Cluan Dara trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by a faller and was also further hampered by the loose horses.
