281A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

L.T. McAteer, rider of Gustav Ucicky trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right from four furlongs out.

281B1 The Rose Hotel H'cap

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Rose Of Malta trained by P.F.O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the stalls when the gates opened and was slowly away.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Nyla Rua trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and ran out of room in the last one hundred yards.

The Stewards requested a report from P.A.Fahy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Navorrosse, placed first, as compared with its recent form. P.A. Fahy reported that they tried dropping her in today to let her find her feet and have her running on towards the finish. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

D. McMonagle, rider of Talking Tough trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run early in the straight.

281C Jet, Peggy & Eamonn O'Carroll (C&G) Mdn

S.M. Crosse, rider of Gambe Veloci, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had no luck in running.

281D Southern Milling & Paul & Vincent H'cap

G.M. Ryan, rider of Drombeg Duke trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount acted up badly in stalls.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Gegenpressing (GB) trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away .

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ali Babes, trained by P.J.Hassett, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of being in season post race.

281E Edmund & Josie Whelan Mem. Listowel Stks

The Stewards interviewed S.T. McCullagh, rider of Charterhouse (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that S.T. McCullagh was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considering his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday. Ms Kate Horgan recused herself from this enquiry.

T.P. Madden, rider of Himalayan Beauty trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Neptune Rock trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned slightly left in the straight.

W.J. Lee, rider of Self Belief trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left in the straight.

281F Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery

C.D. Hayes, rider of Evening's Empire trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran off the bend turning in.

The Stewards enquired into an incident before the turn out of the back straight involving With Love (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, Tiymara, ridden by B.M. Coen, and On The Money, ridden by K.J. Manning where it appeared Tiymara clipped a heel and came down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that he suffered no interference. B.M. Coen stated that he clipped a heel and fell. K.J. Manning said he felt contact from his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

281G Listowel Arms Hotel H'cap

J. A. Heffernan, rider of Howyoulikethat trained by Miss Hilary McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount recived interference in the straight.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Mudamer trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got very tight for room in the final furlong and a half.

S. Foley, rider of Royal Pippen trained by S. Donohoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the closing stages.

D.A Kidd, rider of Jungle Cove, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.

J. Coen, rider of One Cool Poet, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Plunkett (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, Mudamer, ridden by G.P. Halpin, unplaced, Earls, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed first, Royal Pippen, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, and Secret Pulse, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, where it appeared several horses had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that he received pressure from his outside. G.P. Halpin stated that when things got tight he clipped a heel. G.F. Carroll stated that his horse rolled left when he changed leads. S. Foley stated that he had to sit for a few strides. C.D. Hayes stated that he got pressure from his left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
