The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Bigz Belief, trained by Matthew J. Smith, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).
174C McSweeney Sports Surfaces Equestrian MdnO.J. Orr, rider of Proxy (GB), trained by D.K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
174D Stagefright Play Live On 13th July H'capN.M. Crosse, rider of Anthonysoprano trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Fancy Footings, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed first and Havana Breeze, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fifth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. Mr. Edward Irwin, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.
174F Handipak Play Live On 25th July H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fit For Function (GB), trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards requested a report from John James Feane, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Dragons Call, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge appeared to appreciate the step up in trip in what he felt was a lesser race and felt a combination of both had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
174G Racing Again Next Saturday H'capT.P. Madden, rider of Hurricane Sky trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared leaving the stalls.
