The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Richard John O'Brien, trainer of Benavente (GB) (Transport Difficulties) - €200

322A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pink Sorrel, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

322B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sloane Ranger (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Mohawk Chief (USA) trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was awkward when challenged.

M.A. Enright, rider of Morse trained by Charles Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls and was slowly away.

The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start involving Mohawk Chief (USA), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, Rathbranchurch, ridden by G.F. Carroll, and Stop And Think, ridden by S.M. Crosse where it appeared Stop and Think was checked when tight for room on the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that he felt he was clear of the riders on his inside. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was running keen and he was trying to take back. S.M. Crosse stated that his mount received a slight bump from the right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the evidence and took no further action.

322D Knockaire Stakes

M.A. Enright, rider of Lust trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout and weakened quickly.

322E Ann Hartnett Celebration H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, C.P. Hoban, rider of Lexington Dash (FR), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was stuck behind a wall of horses and he had nowhere to go.

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider, in relation to Rule 213 where he failed to give a report following an incident early in the straight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who apologised for failing to make a report. Having considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.P. Hoban was in breach of Rule 213 and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

322F Eyrefield Stakes

E.J. McNamara, rider of Gulf Of Mexico trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left off the home turn despite his best efforts.

W.J. Lee, rider of Hiawatha trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Hippodrome trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump.

The Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Gulf Of Mexico, ridden by E.J. McNamara, Hiawatha, ridden by W.J. Lee, Hippodrome, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Village Voice (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane where it appeared Gulf of Mexico hung badly off the home turn causing interference to several horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. E.J. McNamara stated his mount was in front a long time and was being lairy in hanging right off the home turn, he felt he reacted quickly and that he did his best to prevent the incident. W.J. Lee stated that he got a bump from his inside forcing him onto horses outside him. J.A. Heffernan stated that he also received a bump from his inside turning for home. C.T. Keane stated he was the sufferer of interference on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the evidence and took no further action.

322G Manguard Plus H'cap

The Stewards interviewed Cillian McConnell, rider of New Moon Rising, concerning his use of the whip in later stages of the race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Cillian McConnell in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) and having considered his record they suspended him for seven racedays.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Eloquent Arthur (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount recieved a little bit of pressure from the bottom of the straught.

Cillian McConnell, rider of New Moon Rising trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered leaving the stalls.
