At the request of the Stewards, C.D. Hayes, rider of Postcode Envy (GB), trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not move well on todays ground.
232B Killarney Racegoers Club RaceThe Stewards interviewed D. O'Brien, rider of Blenheim Palace, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted that D. O'Brien was required to use his whip once for corrective purposes due to his mount jinking and as he was otherwise not in breach of Regulation 10 they took no further action.
232C G.M.H.D. Apprentice H'capThe Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P. L. Malone, that P.A. Harnett, rider of Rockview Roman, was unable to weigh out at the correct weight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his minimum allowed riding weight was 8st but the best weight he could do today was 8st 1lb. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards authorised P. A. Harnett to carry 1lb overweight and took no further action.
T.P. Madden, rider of Donnersnstrings trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked over a furlong and a half out.
232E Owens McCarthy H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Das Mooser, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Feeling The Love, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
232G Killarney Oaks Hotel Beginners S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eclat Des Mottes (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and also slightly lame when trotted on a hard surface post race.
P. Townend, rider of Eclat Des Mottes (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too keen throughout.
The Stewards interviewed I.J. McCarthy, rider of Tourboy, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found I. J. McCarthy in breach of Regulation 10.3(G) and suspended him for two racedays.
232H John Lane & Son's Ltd. INH Flat RaceThe Stewards interviewed Mr D.G. Lavery, rider of Double Talkin Jive, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. D. G. Lavery in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) and 10.3(i). The stewards suspended MR. D. G. Lavery for three race days. Ms. Kate Horgan, acting steward, absented herself from this enquiry.
The Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Scalor (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. F . Maguire in breach of Regulation 10.3(G) and suspended him for 1 raceday. Ms. Kate Horgan, acting steward, absented herself from this enquiry.
