The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after the last hurdle involving Sticktotheplan (FR), ridden by P.K. Donovan, placed second, and Warriors Wood (GB), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed first, where Warriors Wood crossed Sticktotheplan as he switched to the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards approved the amended distance of this race to two miles, two furlongs, one hundred seventy five yards due to rail alignment.

Anna McGuinness, rider of Drop The Dip, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her saddle slipped and she pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards informed Gordon Elliott, trainer of Ardeen Joy that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge, who ran off the track in the closing stages may render the animal liable to suspension.

K. C. Sexton, rider of Ardeen Joy, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly throughout and ran off the course.

123D Winning Post Service Station H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Artic Lane, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend between the second last and last hurdle, involving Yeats Star, ridden by Sam Ewing, unplaced, Artic Lane, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, unplaced and Armed And Fabulous, ridden by B. Hayes, fell at the last, where it appeared that Yeats Star stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sam Ewing stated that his mount is a small animal and stumbled independently of any other runner. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his mount was beginning to come off the bridle and that no contact was made. B. Hayes stated that his mount came off the bridle and that no contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after jumping the last involving Whatsavailable, ridden by G. Brouder, placed sixth, and Walking On Glass, ridden by A.P. Kelly, unplaced, where it appeared contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

123E Cooke's Bar And Restaurant Beg. S'chase

Owing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fence number one to be omitted from this race.

In accordance with the provisions of Rule 194(ii) the Raceday Stewards granted permission to Thomas Gibney, trainer of Standing Orders to run his charge without the declared tongue tie, as the animal resisted its application.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballybrittas, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have skin abrasions on both hind legs, but to be otherwise post race normal.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Standing Orders, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the first approach to the starter involving Ollie La Ba Ba, ridden by G.B. Noonan and Vale Of Glory, ridden by Eoin G. Kelly where it appeared both horses broke into a canter before the flag was raised. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.B. Noonan stated that he felt his mount was no more forward than any other animal. Eoin G. Kelly stated that his mount was keen with a difficult head carriage. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found both riders were in breach of Rule 208(iii)(b)(put a horse into a trot or canter with a view to taking any advantage before the race is started). Having considered their records in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended G.B. Noonan (second offence) for two racedays and Eoin G. Kelly (first offence) for one raceday.

123F Shanette Superior Space H'cap S'chase

Owing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fence number one to be omitted from this race.
