McDonogh, Zaur, ridden by G.M. Ryan, Ballysax, ridden by K.J. Manning, Wychwood Whisper, ridden by R.P. Whelan and Everylittlestep, ridden by N.G. McCullagh where it appeared that Hanbags N Gladrags fell when manoeuvring off the heels of Everylittlestep. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that he was riding wide when the incident happened on his inner. G.M. Ryan stated that Hanbags N Gladrags caught a heel and fell bringing down his own mount. W.J. Lee stated that from flag fall his mount did not go at all, he went down the middle in the straight and a few gaps appeared when he was tracking Cool Leader (GB) and Everylittlestep to the point where the rail kinked out. At that point there was no gap and he angled out a small bit and she resisted a small bit and then caught a heel resulting in the fall. D.P. McDonogh reported that he was ahead of the incident but felt that the kink in the running rail contributed to his own mounts movement which was rolling around at the time. N.G. McCullagh stated that he was unaware of the incident but noted on the video that his horse was leaning slightly left at the point of the kink in the rail. K.J. Manning stated that he was behind the fallers and rode to avoid interference. R.P. Whelan stated that his mount was hampered by the fallers. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found W.J. Lee was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly by inattention and misjudgement, and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for three racedays. .
