The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

340A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'ch

Owing to the low elevation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for fence #5 to be omitted from this race.

340B Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Geoghegan, rider of Merry Moves, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Geoghegan accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines in relation to frequency and time to respond. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Geoghegan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by failing to give his mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended R.P. Geoghegan for eleven racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Camilla's Choice, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a bilateral nasal discharge post race.

At the request of the Stewards, M.M. McDonagh, rider of Camilla's Choice, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is small in stature and did not jump fluently.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of So Ladylike trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly and was pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed M.J. Molloy, rider of Ocean Legacy, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, M.J. Molloy admitted that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder height and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.J. Molloy was in breach of R10(3)(h) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M.J. Molloy for one raceday.

340D Winter Festival 3rd & 4th Dec M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, R. Deegan, rider of Getaway Train, trained by Donal Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was dropped in to settle as he can be keen. He added that he settled well and jumped well before staying on past tired horses in the straight. .

At the request of the Stewards, D.F. O'Regan, rider of Johnny Cigar, trained by P.F.O'Donnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped big and steep and got outpaced but stayed on past tired horses up the straight. .

340E 2023 Fairyhouse Membership H'dle

Owing to low eleavation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdle #5 to be omitted from this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bois De Clamart (FR), trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Connector, trained by Michael Hourigan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race and to have a bilateral nasal discharge.

B. Hayes, rider of Perfect Arch trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run up the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Haveuseentherain trained by S.G.Walsh was noted to have blood at the left nostril post race.

Kieran Callaghan, rider of Courting Vickie trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

The Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Royal Rhythm, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.P. O'Sullivan stated that his mount was tiring and he was trying to keep the animal concentrating on jumping the last hurdle. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.P. O'Sullivan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by failing to give his mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.P. O'Sullivan for one raceday.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that S.G. Walsh, trainer, subsequently reported that on endoscopic examination, his charge Haveuseentherain had no blood in her lungs.
