The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Navarra Pace, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed first, Cyclamen, ridden by E.J. M.A. Enright stated that his mount ran very green in front and leaned right into the whip in the closing stages. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action. .

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

Dr. P. Molony (Chairman),

Ms. M. Cosgrave,

Mr. P. Stewart,

Mr. P.D. Deegan.

The Stewards considered a written request from Kevin O'Ryan, Authorised Riders' Agent to allow substitutions for his client D. McMonagle on his three nominated rides today as he was unavailable. In the submission, Kevin O'Ryan stated that he had known that D. McMonagle was riding in France today but he completely forgot when nominating him on three horses for today, only realising his error after the deadline for nominations of riders under Rule 195(i). He added that he had notified the three trainers that had been inconvenienced and apologised to everybody involved for his error. Having considered the written submission, the Stewards allowed D. McMonagle to be replaced in Race 3 by M.P. Sheehy on Numoor, Race 5 by J.A. Heffernan on Chevillon and Race 8 by G.F. Carroll on Mosaaheb. In view of Kevin O'Ryan's previous record, the Stewards referred this matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.
