The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Stewards enquired into an incident early in home straight involving Tai Sing Yeh, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Inishmot Prince, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan where it appeared they both got close. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated he had to wait for the gap until it fully opened but felt he kept as straight as he could in the circumstances. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he kept a straight line and did not get much of a bump. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. J.J.G. Ryan was accompanied by Ms. Elaine O'Farrel in this enquiry.

J. Kearney, rider of Just Another trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered leaving the stalls, having veiwed a recording of this incident the Stewards took no further action.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Sosallycanwait trained by Leanne Breen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went left out of stalls.

327C William Hill Bet Boost H'cap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Laugh A Minute (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bit tight for room at the first bend.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Breaking Story trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from stalls.

J.A. Powell, rider of Goodnight Girl trained by Sarah Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was short of room at the first bend.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about a furlong from the finish involving Wonder Spirit (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, Caesar's Comet, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and Classy Kate, ridden by James J. Doyle where it appeared Classy Kate shifted slightly left. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.C. Colgan stated that he kept a straight line but received a little bump from the horse on his outside. J.M. Sheridan stated that he received no bump and kept his mount straight. James J. Doyle stated that his mount was going left and right early in the straight which was not helping him and was wearing blinkers for obvious reasons. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into an incident close home involving Tawaazon, ridden by S.D. Bowen, and Eastern Racer, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan where it appeared Eastern Racer leaned left close home. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated he was going backwards at the time when Tawaazon moved across him. S.D. Bowen stated that his mount lugged left but he stated he pulled his stick through to correct his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards they took no further action other than to remind S.D. Bowen to ride with more awareness in the future. S.D. Bowen was accompanied by Mr. Kevin Borthwick and J.J.G. Ryan was accompanied by Ms. Elaine O'Farrel in this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed Cillian McConnell, rider of Zonik, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Cillian McConnell stated that he just lost count but accepted he was in breach of R 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Cillian McConnell in breach of R 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for 8 racedays and 2 days tuition at R.A.C.E on the correct use of the whip, they also asked Mr McConnell to try and familiarise himself with the whip guidelines.

327G Story Of Dundalk Stadium Book H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Fascinating Shadow, ridden by W.J. Lee, Alaroos, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Ceallach, ridden by S. Foley, and Mercury Mission (GB), ridden by N.M. Crosse where it appeared they came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that all the field moved out and Mr. Crosse edged a little out towards him. W.J. Lee stated he followed the winner into the straight and with all the horses moving out it got a little tight. C.D. Hayes stated he suffered no interference. N.M. Crosse stated when he felt his mount edge out but put his stick down to keep him straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.
