The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J. J. G. Ryan rode Inishmot Prince (reserve) trained by T.G.McCourt (Race 1)

284A William Hill Bet Boost H'cap

L.T. McAteer, rider of Juno Beach trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Dequinto trained by Michael Butler, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

284D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

D. McMonagle, rider of As Fast As Wind trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from the outside on the bend.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Boogie Woogie trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered from the outside on the bend.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving As Fast As Wind, ridden by D. McMonagle, Boogie Woogie, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Marsh Lock, ridden by A.J. Slattery where it appeared that Boogie Woogie ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that his mount was intimidated by the horse on his outer causing him to get very close to the horse on his inner. J. A. Heffernan stated that he received pressure from his outside causing him to check. A. J. Slattery stated that his mount moved in marginally as he dropped back. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined State Occasion (GB), trained by Ralph Beckett (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a cut to its left fore outer cannon.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Bear Story trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right under pressure.

R.G. Ryan, rider of State Occasion (GB) trained by Ralph Beckett (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

284F William Hill Racing Radio H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Lute Player, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D. McMonagle, rider of Clemmie C trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left when under pressure in the closing stages.

The Stewards requested a report from A. Oliver, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Manbehindthemoney (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. A. Oliver stated that his charge did not handle the slower ground last time out at Galway on the 27th of July. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

The Stewards informed John Joseph Murphy, trainer, that Spirit Of Ash, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Cursory Exam (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, Draco Pulchrac, ridden by B.M. Coen, and Dodie Baby, ridden by James J. Doyle where it appeared that Dodie Baby received a bump and was eased. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. T. Keane stated that the horses in front were dropping back causing things to get tight. B. M. Coen stated that two horses were going for the same gap. James J. Doyle stated that he received contact but his race was run and it did not affect him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to remind C. T. Keane to ride with more awareness.
