The Stewards interviewed J. Coen, rider of Aunty Audrey, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his action. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. Coen was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b)(out of contention) and considering his record, they cautioned him on this occasion. Mr Coen was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr Kevin O'Ryan.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Aghaboy (GER), ridden by Jessica O'Gorman, and trained by Kevin Prendergast. Evidence was heard from the rider and the trainer's Authorised representative Mr. John Sullivan. Ms. O'Gorman, stated that her instructions were to jump out and get her position, keep a hold of his head, get him to run on at the finish and not to pick up her whip. She felt the race went well for her and overall she was happy with the way the race went. She added that she was concentrating on being tidy in the finish but upon watching the footage agreed that it did not look great. Mr. Sullivan, stated that Aghaboy is quiet a boystrous individual who was gelded approximately 4 weeks ago. He confirmed the riding instructions and added Aghaboy might benefit from a step up in trip but was otherwise well prepared for today's run. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Aghaboy was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Ms. O'Gorman and Mr. Prendergast were in breach of Rule 212 A (ii)(timely, real and substantial effort). Having considered their records in this regard they suspended Ms. O'Gorman for 10 racedays and ordered her to forfeit her riding fee. Furthermore they fined Mr. Prendergast two thousand euros and suspended Aghaboy from racing for 42 days.

A.C. Persse, rider of Jaas Yard trained by Michael Butler, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green early on.

337C Floodlit Fridays At Dundalk M'dn

The Stewards requested a report from Kevin Thomas Coleman, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Lolly Yeats, placed first, as compared with its recent run in Cork on the 28th of Sept '21. Mr. Coleman stated that on that occasion Lolly Yeats found the conditions too soft and in his opinion today's easier surface brought about the apparent improvement in form Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Just Let Go trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Linus Larrabee trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Macaban City, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Ms. Rutledge was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) and considering her record they suspended her for 2 racedays.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Shamiyan trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had a bad trip around.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Eden Gardens trained by K.A. Heffernan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered in the straight the first time round.

Ciara Flynn, rider of Power Drive (GB) trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount got upset in the stalls and banged its head.

337E2 Extra Places Everyday At BetVictor H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Duleek Street, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed second and Shamardalah (GB), ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first, where it appeared Duleek Street received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M. Coen stated that he was coming with his challenge when Shamardalah drifted towards him causing his horse to get intimated. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount hung right the whole way around but he felt that he was always holding the second. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.

B.M. Coen, rider of Duleek Street trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received interference when the horse on his left drifted out into his path.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Shamardalah (GB) trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dream Wisely (GB), trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
