The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Adam Caffrey rode One Cool Bear (reserve) trained by Adrian McGuinness (Race 3)

202A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Cocotinha to run in accordance with the provision of Rule 90(v) as a positive identification could be made despite the discrepancies in the markings as recorded in the Passport. The Trainer has 30 days to update the passport to the satisfaction of an IHRB Veterinary Officer/Assistant.

202C Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Venetian Star trained by J.P. Murtagh was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined the trainer €130 in accordance with the provisons of Rule 148(xii).

R.P. Whelan, rider of Femme Beauty, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount took a false step at the road crossing.

202D Ampion Partner In Electrical Testing Hcp

N.M. Crosse, rider of Keilah, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from the outside after three furlongs.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after approximately three furlongs involving Nocturnal, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, Keilah, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed sixth, Smaoineamh Sile (GB), ridden by R. Whearty, placed fourth, and Purple Sky, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed first, where it appeared Keilah suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.M. Crosse stated that he received pressure from the outside and made contact with the rail. R. Whearty stated that he received slight pressure from his outside. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was running free and he shouted at D.P. McDonagh to come across him to get cover. D.P. McDonagh stated that he received a shout to come across but was unaware of the horse down the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D.P. McDonagh was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday. When considering a penalty, the Raceday Stewards took into account that D.P. McDonagh was invited in. However, they felt that the responsibility to allow enough space lay with him and therfore felt that the one day suspension was appropriate.

202E GAIN The Advantage Series Apprentice Hcp

R.M Mulligan, rider of Numidia, trained by Peter Lawlor, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no luck in the home straight.

202F Ampion Your Trusted Partner (F) H'cap

S. Foley, rider of La Vita Nova, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around a little bit in the straight.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Heather, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got her ground taken after a furlong and was pushed in towards the rail.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving La Vita Nova, ridden by S. Foley, placed third, Heather, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, and Ina Mina (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, placed fourth, where it appeared Ina Mina drifted towards the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that he shouted at W. Joyce numerous times and got pushed towards the rail. S. Foley stated that he wasn't involved in the incident. W. Joyce stated that he was trying to get cover but accepted that he heard G.F. Carroll shout and still moved in towards the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found W. Joyce was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
