The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. T. Keane replaced G.F. Carroll on Faded Fantasy, trained by G.M.Lyons (Race 8)(Stewards permission)

288B Irish EBF Median Sires Series M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Rubio Draco trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green under pressure.

S. Foley, rider of Starry Heavens trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right out of the stalls.

288C Irish EBF Auction Series Race

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Charming Lady trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left under pressure.

J.A. Powell, rider of Nation Of Stars (GB) trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls and hung left throughout.

288D Weld Park Stakes

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Maybe Just Maybe (JPN), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Caroline Street (USA), ridden by D. McMonagle, Decorated My Life, ridden by A.J. Slattery, and Keep In Touch, ridden by C.D. Hayes where it appeared that Caroline Street ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that he did not have the horse to get into the gap and it did not cost him. A. J. Slattery stated that he had kept a straight line and his race was run. C. D. Hayes stated that he pulled his stick through and his mount rolled in when he dropped a rein and his stick. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

D. McMonagle, rider of Caroline Street (USA) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Keep In Touch trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he dropped his stick at the furlong pole and his mount rolled right.

288E William Hill Extra Place Nursery H'cap

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Halpin, rider of American Sonja (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that G. P. Halpin was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered G. P. Halpin's record in this regard the Stewards, pursuant to the provision of Regulation 10.6.a, suspended G. P. Halpin for six racedays.

288F Irish Cesarewitch

The Stewards interviewed Rachael Blackmore, rider of Echoes In Rain (FR), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Rachael Blackmore was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency and having considered her record in this regard the Stewards suspended Rachael Blackmore for two racedays.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Benaud trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he used his whip for correctional purposes inside the final furlong.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Jerandme trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check two out.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start involving Hms Seahorse, ridden by B.M. Coen, Azallya, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Taipan (FR), ridden by S. Foley, and Whiskey Sour, ridden by J.M. Sheridan where it appeared Whiskey Sour ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. M. Coen stated that he received contact from the inside and rolled in. C. D. Hayes stated that he ran out of room and had to check. S. Foley stated that there was a concertina effect causing several horses to get tight. J. M. Sheridan stated that he had to check off heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that they had insufficient evidence to apportion blame to any particular rider, and they took no further action.

D. McMonagle, rider of Inuit (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran tight for room turning in.

The Stewards enquired into two incidents in the closing stages of this race involving French Claim (FR), ridden by W.J. Lee, Inuit (FR), ridden by D. McMonagle, and Jerandme, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond where it appeared that several horses ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. J. Lee stated that he was going backwards and couldn't hold his position. D. McMonagle stated that he ran out of room and his mount backed off. C. J. MacRedmond stated that he felt pressure from his right hand side, took a small check and lost momentum. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the evidence of S. T. McCullagh, D. Tudhope and P. Dobbs was also required, but as they were unavailable at the time, they referred the matter to the Referrals Committee for further investigation.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Whiskey Sour trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference after a furlong.

288H William Hill Play Responsibly M'dn

J.A. Powell, rider of Dream Escape (GB) trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
