The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the two furlong pole involving Staysound Susie, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, Back Down Under, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed second, and Tai Tam Bay, ridden by Alexandra Egan, unplaced, where it appeared Staysound Susie had to sit for a few strides after getting tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.J. Slattery said he got tight for room after receiving pressure from both sides. L.F. Roche said his mount rolled slightly left but was corrected immediately. Alexandra Egan felt she kept her line and didn't contribute to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Greek Flower, ridden by J.A. Powell, Li Ban, ridden by R. Whearty, Just Before (USA), ridden by J.A. 133D Heider Family Stables Gallinule Stakes

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Emit, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed third, Reyenzi (FR), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, Shackleton, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed fourth, Thrice, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed second, and Tiberius Thunder, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fifth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle said he got a bump from Reyenzi which caused him to bump Thrice. B.M. Coen said his mount was green and ran around bumping the horses on his inner. R.L. Moore said he got tightened from his outer approaching the furlong marker. W.M. Lordan said he received a significant bump from Emit which was caused by Reyenzi. C.T. Keane said he got tight from the left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Reyenzi had caused interference to the above horses and as a result of this interference had improved it’s finishing position in relation to Emit and Thrice. As a consequence, the Raceday Stewards amended the placings to read as follows:

Amended Result:
First: Thrice
Second: Emit
Third: Reyenzi
Fourth: Shackleton
Fifth: Tiberius Thunder

Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that B.M. Coen was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly so they suspended him for four racedays. In arriving at the penalty of four days the Raceday Stewards took into account the riders clean record as well as the accuracy and honesty of his evidence.
