The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Medway (GB) (Off Feed) - €200

086A1 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Freepark trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount hung badly left.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Lifetime Legend trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lugged right up the home straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Max Mayhem (GB), ridden by S.M. Crosse, Nothingbuttrouble (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, where it appeared interference occurred in the closing stages. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. T. Keane stated that his mount was fading when he took a precautionary check. S. M. Crosse stated that his mount leaned right when under pressure but once corrected ran straight to the line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Supposedtobe trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right up the straight.

The Stewards informed Augustine Leahy, trainer that Harnessapower (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

086A2 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Faron trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green throughout.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Star Official trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hanging in and out up the straight.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Queen Amanirenas trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green throughout.

The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Star Official, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that R.C. Colgan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and considering the riders record in this regard, suspended him for 2 racedays.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Delta Romeo, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth and Faron, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount got unbalanced in the straight and there was very minimal contact with Faron. D.P. McDonogh stated that his animal was feeling the ground and brushed off Delta Romeo. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental, therefore made no altercation to the judges placings and took no further action.

086B CorkRacecourse.ie Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards interviewed Sean Cleary Farrell, rider of Storm Elza, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that it was his third ride and he thought his mount was going to run on and finish closer, however he accepted he misjudged his position and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Sean Cleary Farrell was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b)(out of contention) and cautioned him on this occasion. Sean Cleary Farrell was accompanied by Michael Cleary at this enquiry.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Morph Speed trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

086C GAIN The Advantage Series H'cap

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Whyzzat (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got checked at the furlong pole.

T.P. Madden, rider of Baron Wild trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the home straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Whyzzat (GB), ridden by J.M. Sheridan, Baron Wild, ridden by T.P. Madden, Ever A Dream, ridden by Wesley Joyce and El C Wells, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that his challenge was coming to an end when he had to take a precautionary check. T.P. Madden stated that his mount didn't get a clear run and his horse wasn't quick enough to take the gap. Wesley Joyce stated that his horse drifted slightly due to inexperience as it was her first run in a handicap and he did his best to keep her straight. C.D. Maxwell stated that his filly ran around a bit under pressure as she was having her first run on grass and her first run in a handicap. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action. Wesley Joyce was accompanied by Denis Lenihan at this enquiry.

086D Blackwater Race

O.J. Orr, rider of Blue For You trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

S. Foley, rider of O'Reilly (FR) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green late on.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Toshizou trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount checked off the heels in the straight.

The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Kyprios, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that two of the strikes were for corrective purposes but accepted that he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency). Having taken his previous record in this regard and pursuant to R10.6(a), the Stewards suspended him for 6 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Isle Of Sark (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards reviewed an incident early in the home straight involving Blue For You, ridden by O.J. Orr, and Kyprios, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

086G Mallow H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Benkogambit, trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Molly Grue trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left out of stalls.
