The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lady Of Elysium, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
298C McCarthy Plant & Agri Sales H'cap H'dleThe Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend out of the back straight involving Whereyounow, ridden by P.T. Enright and Classic Concorde, ridden by D.P. Maxwell, where it appeared Whereyounow clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D. P. Maxwell was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended D.P. Maxwell for 1 raceday.
The Stewards enquired into two incidents at the end of the back straight involving Whereyounow, ridden by P.T. Enright, Classic Concorde, ridden by D.P. Maxwell, Big Tree, ridden by D.J. Mullins and Flooring Porter, ridden by J.M. Moore, where it appeared Whereyounow ran short of room. The second incident involving Whydah (GB), ridden by P.D. Kennedy, Ballea Fox (GB), ridden by L. Quinlan, and Long Island Jenn, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, where it appeared Ballea Fox and Island Jenn had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action in relation to the first incident owing to insufficient evidence. They did, however, advise D.J. O'Keeffe to ride with more awareness in relation to the second incident.
The Stewards interviewed D.P. Maxwell, rider of Classic Concorde, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found D. P. Maxwell in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.
298D Matchbook Betting Exchange H'cap H'dleUnder the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Miss Echrad, trained by E. McNamara, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.
298E The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners SC.D. Timmons, rider of Conright Boy trained by Mrs. C. O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped right.
At the request of the Stewards, J.J. Slevin, rider of Shar Whats Therush, trained by Donal Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got outpaced down the backstraight but that it jumped very well and ran on to run a nice race.
298G Matchbook Podcast (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Stewards enquired into the conduct of L. Quinlan, rider of The Little Yank, placed first, towards another rider after passing the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and footage of the incident was also viewed. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that L. Quinlan was in breach of Rule 272(i) in that he had verbally or by conduct or behaviour, acted in a manner which is prejudicial to the integrity, proper conduct or good reputation of horseracing. Having taken his clean record in this regard into account, the Stewards fined L. Quinlan €250.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Bois De Clamart (FR), ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed sixth, The Little Yank, ridden by L. Quinlan, placed first, Fortune Street (FR), ridden by K. Brogan, placed third and Four Country Roads, ridden by C.P. McNamara, placed fourth, where it appeared that interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They did, however, find C. P. McNamara in breach of rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays. Furthermore, the Stewards found that K. P. Brogan was in breach of rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays.
