The Stewards wished to enquire into the running and riding of Flooring Porter, ridden by J.M. Moore, and trained by Gavin Cromwell. Prior to seeking evidence Zoe Smalley, representing Gavin Cromwell, trainer, confirmed that she was not registered as an Authorised representative and furthermore a temporary registration form had not been lodged today at scales. Having considered the admission by Zoe Smalley, the Stewards referred the subject matter to the Referrals Committee in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147 (v). Mr. R.E. Rohan, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.
178C Tote Backing Your Team H'cap H'dleThe Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the straight involving Touch Of Gold, ridden by P.D. Kennedy, unplaced and Youngnedofthehill, ridden by C.J. Orr, unplaced, where it appeared that Youngnedofthehill ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no interference had taken place and took no further action.
P. Townend, rider of Miss Chevious Girl trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last hurdle.
The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Smiling Eliza, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Camilla Sharples, Authorised representative for Gordon Elliot, reported that their charge was an honest filly who always gave her best. Since her last run at Ballinrobe on the 27th May where she disappointed, her training regime was changed and this appears to have sweetened her up which may have contributed to the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
178D Finbarr Quaid Electrical M'dn H'dleThe Stewards interviewed A. McCurtin, rider of Exit Eleven, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A. McCurtin was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended A. McCurtin for 1 raceday.
A. McCurtin, rider of Exit Eleven trained by Ms. Debbie Hartnett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout this race.
P. Townend, rider of Savina trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not jump throughout this race.

178E Gina & The Champions After Racing H'dleThe Stewards fined Patrick Griffin, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Lachlan Bridge (GER), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The animal had entered racecourse property and was subsequently withdrawn by the trainer's representative before the card had closed one and a half hours before racing.

The Stewards requested a report from Ray Hackett, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Rock On Bennie, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Liam Hackett, Authorised representative for Ray Hackett, reported that their charge reappeared after a layoff when running at Limerick on the 31st March but the filly got a fright at the first hurdle and this appeared to have affected her confidence and she never got into contention. On her most recent run at Tipperary on the 23rd May she was ridden up with the pace but ran too free. Today the filly was held up which allowed her to finish her race on underfoot conditions that also were to her liking. In his opinion the filly was not the most genuine but everything appeared to happen in her favour today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
178G Battle Of The Clubs INH Flat RaceMr T. Feeney, rider of Move To Nevada, trained by John P.O'Callaghan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green and hung badly throughout.
