The Stewards fined Joseph G. Murphy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Palmones, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Palmones in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L.Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that L.P. Gilligan, rider of Kiltormer, had presented himself to weighed out at 2 lbs overweight which was not declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and from Paul John Gilligan, trainer of Kiltormer. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion, but were satisfied that L.P. Gilligan was in breach of Rule 195(i). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards issued a fine of €150.
C.D. Maxwell, rider of Carol's Return (GB) trained by William Durkan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount could not go on the ground.
069B Mulholland Bookmakers (C&G) M'dn H'dleThe Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Our Dark Horse, trained by Eamon Courtney, as the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91(i)(vaccinated within the previous seven days).
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Defy De Mee (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
P. Townend, rider of Kolumbus trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
R.p, Treacy, rider of Youmakeityoutakeit trained by Ronald O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
069C McGrath Limestone Works H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballyneety (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards enquired into an incident passing the stands with a circuit to go, involving Ballyneety (GB), ridden by M.P. Walsh, Bolbec (FR), ridden by D. Meyler, Contingency (GB), ridden by P. Townend and Ejayteekay (GB), ridden by D.F. O'Regan, where it appeared Contingency ran short of room on the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action.
069D BetVictor H'cap H'dleP. Townend, rider of Shoulda Lied trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was never travelling and was pulled up thereafter.
J.W. Kennedy, rider of Lizzies Champ trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and was pulled up thereafter.
D.J. Mullins, rider of Lucky Icon trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake and was pulled up.
069E Killeen Sportsgrounds H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sillogue Pio, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.
J.M. Moore, rider of Sillogue Pio trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst.
069F Racing TV INH Flat RaceThe Stewards fined Miss Elizabeth Doyle, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Flash (FR), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Flash (FR) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Stewards fined Oliver McKiernan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Talk To Jack, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Talk To Jack in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Gabby Cabby, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
