The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

J. S. Bolger, trainer of Croi Na Feile (USA) (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr.M.J.O'Connor replaced Mr R.P. McNamara on Conright Boy, trained by Mrs. C. O'Leary (Race 7)(injured)

The Stewards enquired into an incident before the turn into the straight involving Family Pride, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, No Way Jack, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, unplaced, Qat Flyer, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, Smuggler's Cove, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed fifth and Winsor Royal, ridden by L.F. Roche, unplaced, where it appeared that Winsor Royal had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was as a result of general bunching and took no further action.

The Stewards informed Gerard Keane, trainer that The Black Devil, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed Gerard Keane, trainer of The Black Devil, concerning the conduct of this horse who refused to load. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence and taken into account that it was the horse's third time to refuse to load, the Stewards suspended The Black Devil for sixty day's, for all races started from stalls.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Belts And Braces, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced, Danseur De Feu, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third, Three Bells, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, unplaced and Teeline, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, where it appeared that Three Bells ran out of racing room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned J.A.Heffernan to ride with more care in future.

Patrick Downey, trainer of Three Bells, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge scoped badly post race.

Mrs Pauline Gavin, trainer of The Lady Granuaile (USA), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge made a respiratory noise in running

The Stewards requested a report from Lorcan Joseph Donnelly, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Old Theatre Royal, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on his last start in Cork when missing the break and getting hampered by a faller in running. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
