The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Philip Fenton, trainer of Patsio (ground) - €200.

091A Martinstown Opportunity Final H'cap H'dl

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sea Light, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and distressed post race.

Samples were taken for analysis.

091D Bibby Financial Services P'town Gold Cup

D.N. Russell, rider of Noble Prince (GER), trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

P. Townend, rider of On His Own, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced reluctantly and never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined On His Own, at the request of trainer, W.P. Mullins, and reported the animal to be lame on his off fore leg post race.

The Stewards interviewed R. Walsh, rider of Boston Bob, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. Walsh in breach of Reg 10 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having taken his good record into account they cautioned him regarding his future responsibilities in this regard.

091E Attheraces.com Champion INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Henry de Bromhead, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Riviera Sun, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Shaneshill, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. J.J. Codd in breach of Reg 10.3. (f) by using his whip with excessive force and frequency and having taken his good record into account suspended him for two race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Black Hercules, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

091G O'Reilly Recruitment INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Totally Dominant (USA), concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr P.W. Mullins in breach of Reg 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having taken his good record into account cautioned him regarding his future responsibilities in this regard.
