The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S.F. O'Keeffe replaced Mr L. Quinlan on Allied Victory, trained by John Patrick Ryan (Race 6)(see enquiry)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Elusive Theatre, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Calie Du Mesnil (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

At the request of the Stewards, R. Walsh, rider of Calie Du Mesnil (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount disappointed and he was unable to offer a possible reason for this.

The Stewards informed Ben Arthey, Authorised Representative of S.R.B. Crawford, trainer of Elusive Theatre, that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who refused to start, may render the animal liable for suspension in future.

The Stewards interviewed G.N. Fox, rider of Aasleagh Dawn, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.N. Fox was in breach of Regulation 10.4 in that he had failed to give his mount time to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended G.N. Fox for 1 raceday.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P.L. Malone, that Mr L. Quinlan, rider of Allied Victory, had presented himself to weigh out at 7lbs overweight having declared a possible 2lbs overweight at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, Rule 195 and Rule 198, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. L. Quinlan was in breach of Rule 195(i)(c) and having considered his previous record in this regard, they issued a fine of €150. Furthermore, the Stewards granted a request from the trainer, to substitute the nominated rider with S.F. O'Keeffe.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Allee Bleue, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.N. Russell, rider of Allee Bleue trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped.
