The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M. Darcy rode On Winsome Wings (reserve) , trained by Donal Hassett (Race 3)
Mr. P. J. Cawley rode Green Diesel (reserve) , trained by G.T. Lynch (Race 4)

309A Martinstown Opportunity M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the approach to the last hurdle involving Ange D'Or Javilex (FR), ridden by L.P. Dempsey, placed first and Nimdani, ridden by S.D. Bohan, placed second, where it appeared Nimdani met with interference and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

309F Racing Again 26th December H'cap H'dle

B.F. Cawley, rider of Tempo Mac trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost it's action after the second last and was pulled up thereafter.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tempo Mac, trained by Paul W. Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

309G Glenview & Rathbarry (M)Ladies Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss A.B. O'Connor, rider of Side Saddle, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, suspended her for one raceday.

Miss J.M. Mangan, rider of Time For Champers trained by James Joseph Mangan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount misbehaved at the start.
