The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.W.Mullins replaced Mr R.P. Quinlan on Babbling Stream (GB), trained by P.M.J.Doyle (Race 7)(injured)
A.J.Fox replaced G.N. Fox on Sudski Star, trained by Patrick Griffin (Race 6)(injured)
Rachel Blackmore replaced G.N. Fox on Father Jack, trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 5)(injured)

076A National Student Raceday (M) M'dn Hdle

John Gerard Fitzgerald, trainer of Ssmarchioness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst blood vessells in running(confirmed by Turf Club Veterinary surgeon).

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Sharon (GB) trained by Michael J. McDonagh was lame post race.

076B INH Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Turnandgo, trained by M.F.Morris, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff and sore post race.

076D Martinstown Opportunity H'cap H'dle

S.J. Crimin, rider of Santo Prince (USA) trained by Robert Alan Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action and pulled up.

L.A. McKenna, rider of Just For Joe, trained by Mrs Hannah Lee, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost a lot of ground before staying on again in the latter stages.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Good As Gold (GB) trained by P.A.Fahy was lame post race.

Mrs Hannah Lee, trainer of Just For Joe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge scoped badly post race

076E Greenmount Park Beginners S'chase

P. Carberry, rider of Our Sox trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped in running.

A.E. Lynch, rider of Gold Platinum, trained by W.J.Austin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered a leg injury in running.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Drishogue Boy, ridden by D.G. Hogan, and trained by Noel Brett. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his instructions were to drop his horse out, get him jumping and to ride him to finish as close as possible, without resorting to the whip. He added that the horse jumped slowly and he found himself further back than ideal. He concluded by saying that he stayed on well in the straight past beaten horses. Evidence was also heard from Pat Brett, representing Noel Brett, trainer, who confirmed his instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He added that the horse doesn't find much off the bridle. He concluded by saying that the horse would be ideally suited by softer ground. The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer who stated that Drishogue Boy coughed post race and was stiff and sore. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered and took no further action.

076G Racing Again Tomorrow INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined James Daniel Dullea, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Tikkanen Express, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Mrs.Mary C.O'Connor, trainer of Bridgetconnory, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 16th April that her charge scoped wrong following examination post race.
