109D Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes

At the request of the Stewards, S. 109E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Noblesse Stakes

S. Foley, rider of Camphor trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount switched legs and hung left after turning into the straight.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Camphor, ridden by S. Foley, placed sixth, Cerro Bayo, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced, Fresnel (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed second and Loveisthehigherlaw (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, where it appeared that Cerro Bayo was impeded. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings'. They did, however, find that the interference to Cerro Bayo was caused by S. Foley riding carelessly this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned S. Foley on this occasion.

109F Leopardstown H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Yulong Voice (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ducked away when Sacramento went through with his challenge on the rails.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Sacramento, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed third, Yulong Voice (GB), ridden by S. Foley, unplaced and China's Storm, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, where it appeared that Yulong Voice ducked outwards and impeded China's Storm. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the report that S. Foley had made at the scales prior to this enquiry and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Holy Roman Empress, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

109G Leopardstown H'cap

The Stewards informed Mrs John Harrington, trainer that But You Said, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

Mr. Justice Hunt (Chairman),

Ms. Mary Cosgrave,

Mr. Hugh Hynes.

The Stewards received a report from Declan Buckley, IHRB Security Officer that he had been informed by Dominic O'Meara IHRB Security Official on the health screening duty at the entrance to the racecourse that Emmett Mullins, trainer, had been refused permission to enter the enclosure when failing to present a bar code which was a necessary requirement, this point being clearly made to him. Declan Buckley added that at a later stage that Kevin Borthwick, IHRB Security Official at the weighroom had seen Emmet Mullins collecting his colour bag from outside the weighroom. Declan Buckley confirmed that the Security personnel in the stable yard had not seen seen Emmet Mullins in that area during the course of the race meeting. CCTV footage was also seen of the parade ring both before and after the third race. Having considered the report from Declan Buckley and having viewed the CCTV footage the Stewards using their powers under Rule 14 (ii)(b) referred the matter to the CEO of the IHRB for further investigation.
