The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home involving Mine Now, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, winner, Rue Hill, ridden by D. Robinson, placed second, Hollow Tree (GB), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed third, Toubaloo, ridden by R.C. Colgan, slipped up, and Notwhatiam, ridden by J.J. Slevin, slipped up, where it appeared Notwhatiam stumbled independently and Toubaloo suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, with the exception of J.J. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion the incident was caused accidentally, and as a result of racing on chopped up ground and took no further action.
