The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K C Sexton replaced D.J. Benson on Waterloo Chateau, trained by Gerard Keane (Race 4)(not qualified).

324A #25,000 Tote Pick 6 Guarantee M'dn H'dle

M.A. Enright, rider of All Hell Let Loose, trained by D. T. Hughes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount didn't travel, was green at his hurdles, was forced to check off heels in the straight and ran on at the finish.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Cara Vic, at the request of trainer, J.A.Berry, and reported the animal to be bleeding from both nostrils post race.

324C Ballyhack H'cap S'chase

P. Townend, rider of Protaras (USA), trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made mistakes early, got detached and almost got run out at one stage.

B.J. Cooper, rider of The Shepherd King, trained by Thomas Cooper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action going to the last.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the first fence in the backstraight to be omitted for this race.

324D Dermot Fagan Lifetime In Racing Beg S'ch

The Stewards enquired into whether D. J. Benson, rider of Waterloo Chateau, a claiming National Hunt jockey, was qualified to ride in this race. Evidence was heard from D. J. Benson who agreed that he had not ridden in a minimum of three Handicap Steeplechases nor had he completed three Point to Point Steeplechases or Hunters Chases. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards found that D. J. Benson was not qualified to ride in this race as he had not satisfied conditions set out in Regulation 1 relating to qualification to ride in Beginners / Novice chases and therefore ordered him to be substituted.

The Stewards furthermore cautioned D. J. Benson that under Rule 195 (i) it is his responsibility to ensure that he is qualified to ride in the race.

The Stewards allowed K. C. Sexton to substitute D. J. Benson to ride Waterloo Chateau in this race. .

The Stewards interviewed R. Loughran, rider of Reward Of Faith concerning his use of the whip in latter part of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. Loughran in breach of Regulation 10 3. (b) by continuing to use his whip after its chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

324E Bar One Racing H'cap H'dle

Sabrina J. Harty, trainer of Kalann, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge scoped wrong post race.

324G O'Doherty's Audio/Video(Pro-Am)Flat Race

The Stewards fined James Albert Jenkins, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Rushvale, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
