Owing to low sun, the Stewards granted permission for the third last fence (Fence 3) to be omitted from this race.

C.J. Orr, rider of Canadian Steel trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Canadian Steel, trained by Noel C. Kelly, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage on post race examination.

R. Loughran, rider of Hard Bought trained by Mrs D.A.Love, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and pulled up.

A.W. Short, rider of Caoimhe Diva trained by Daniel John Howard, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst blood vessels.

019C BetVictor Lenghten Odds H'cap S'chase

The Stewards received a report from Dr. Victoria McCandless, IHRB Medical Officer, in relation to the conduct of D.E. Mullins, rider, in the weigh room following the running of this race. Evidence was heard from the Medical Officer, the rider and the IHRB Clerk of the Scales, Mr. W. Fleming. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule 272 by speaking to the Medical Officer in an unacceptable manner and having taken his record into account, severely cautioned him and informed him that this type of conduct will not be tolerated in the future.

The Stewards interviewed A.W. Short, rider of School Lane, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3(f)(excessive frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Carlitos Bay trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tired quickly in the ground.

019D Run For Your Money BetVictor M'dn H'dle

Mr. J.R. Banahan, IHRB Starter, reported to the Stewards Secretaries that he started this race by flag due to a fault in the mechanism of the starting equipment.

P. Townend, rider of Earth Day (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

P. Townend, rider of Eclat Des Mottes (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

H. Morgan, rider of Presented Well, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a mistake and never travelled thereafter.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dawn Hoofer, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an over reach on its right fore leg and to be lame.

A. Ring, rider of Folly Dat, trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left throughout.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the second last (Hurdle 2) and third last (Hurdle 3) to be omitted from this race.
