The Stewards received a report from Ion Hamilton, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr B. O'Neill , rider of The Hard Hat , weighed in at 2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he was at his minimum weight and felt that he had gathered an amount of kickback having tracked the pacemakers. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr B. O'Neill was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for 1 raceday.

Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
