The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Eoin Doyle, trainer of Davy From Milan Going (late withdrawal) - €200 for Going and €320 for late withdrawal (2nd Offence).

333A INH Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed R.M. Moran, rider of Rasco, winner, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion RM Moran was in breach of Regulation 10 in that he had used his whip with excessive force and frequency, used it in the forehand position in front of the saddle and failed to give his mount time to respond, and having taken his record in this regard into account, they suspended him for 4 racedays.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Regula, at the request of trainer, Desmond McDonogh, and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Cloch Fada (GB), at the request of trainer, B. R. Hamilton, and reported the animal to have sore shins in front post race.

333C Bet With The Bookies (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Miss R. Blackmore, rider of Maple Valley Gold, winner, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion Miss R Blackmore was in breach of Regulation 10 in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency and she had failed to give her mount time to respond, and having taken her good record into account, they suspended her for 1 raceday.

333D Happy Christmas H'cap H'dle

J.P. Byrne, rider of Afram Blue (GB) trained by Miss Maura McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

333G Downpatrick Xmas Party Hunters S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Mr Michael Moran, authorised representative of Eoin Doyle, trainer, regarding the late withdrawal of their charge, Davy From Milan from this race due to the Going.
Evidence was heard from the authorised representative concerned.
Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion Eoin Doyle was in breach of Rule 194 in that the reason for withdrawal was not a valid one, and also that the withdrawal was made after the time fixed for withdrawal under Rule 194 (iii)(a).
Therefore, in relation to the excuse offered, the Stewards fined Eoin Doyle through his authorised representative, €200 and suspended Davy From Milan from running for 2 days, and in relation to the lateness of the withdrawal, having considered his record in this regard, they fined him €320.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Harpor, trained by Sean Aherne, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame in front post race.
