The Stewards enquired into an incident before the furlong marker involving Toogoodtobetrue, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, winner, Gussy Goose, ridden by F.M. Berry, placed second and New Alliance, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed third, where it appeared New Alliance suffered interference and had to check.. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion any interference was caused accidentally and so they took no further action.
Mr N.B. Wachman, Chairman of the Acting Stewards absented himself from this enquiry and Ms. Mary Cosgrave acted as Chairman.

Miss J.A. Kelly, rider of Blue Ridge Lane, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount hung throughout.

186E Kilboy Estate Stakes

The Stewards interviewed R.L. Moore, rider of Mango Diva (GB), winner, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion R.L. Moore was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and Regulation 10 4 in that he failed to give his mount time to respond, and having taken his good record into account, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

J.P. O'Brien, rider of Peace Burg (FR), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was lame on finishing.

John M. Oxx, trainer of My Titania, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Wednesday 23rd July that his charge was found to be lame post race.

186F Rockingham H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference 1 furlong out involving Shipyard (USA), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed fifth, and Yulong Baoju, ridden by F. Lynch, placed sixth, where it appeared Yulong Baoju suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion Shipyard had improved his finishing position in relation to Yulong Baoju as a result of the interference and so they amended the result to read.
Fifth: Yulong Baoju
Sixth: Shipyard
Furthermore, the Stewards were of the opinion the interference was accidental and so they took no further action.

L.F. Roche, rider of More Questions trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost action and was eased in the closing stages and was lame on pulling up.

M.Halford, trainer of Wind Inher Sleeves (USA), reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Monday 21st July that his charge was found to be in season the morning after the race.
