The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. O'Sullivan rode Mossy Island (reserve) , trained by Sabrina J. Harty (Race 6)
Mr S. Crawford replaced Mr S. Clements on Haveinosay, trained by H.Fitzpatrick (Race 7)(Injured)
A.P. Heskin replaced D.J. Condon on Dawn Flyer, trained by Mrs Grainne M. O'Connor (Race 6)(Injured)

189A Paddy Smyth Memorial M'dn H'dle

D.G. Hogan, rider of Beautiful Ben, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made mistakes throughout this race, ran flat on the final circuit and would appreciate better ground conditions.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Cottrell (GB), at the request of trainer, Colin Kidd, and reported the animal to be in a distressed condition when clinically examined post race.

189B Mayo News M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined G.T.Lynch, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Bens Hampshire, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Andrew J.McNamara, rider of Cebuano (GB) trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his coordination on pulling up.

M.J. Bolger, rider of Forced Kin trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race.

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter,J.R. Banahan, that A. Ring, rider of Man Of Erin had disobeyed his instructions to remain at a walk to the start and consequently caused a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that A. Ring was in breach of Rule 208 by failing to comply with the instruction of the Starter and suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

189C Connacht Rugby H'cap H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Ram Them All, at the request of trainer, P.A.Fahy, and reported the animal to be in a distressed condition post race.

189D Monroes Live H'dle

K.C. Sexton, rider of Up The Hill, trained by John W. Nicholson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount cocked his jaw when seeing the stable yard and soon ran out.

189F McWilliam Park Hotel H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Garrett James Power, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Curragh Golan, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Killarney 14th July. Garrett James Power reported that his animal did not jump fluently at Killarney in a race run at a strong gallop. He made two mistakes in the back straight and was then pulled up by J. Winston, rider, who felt that his mount had gone lame behind, a matter which was reported to the Stewards on the day. He also felt that the easier underfoot conditions today benefited his charge. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Barney King, trained by John G. Carr, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be in respiratory distress post race.

Sabrina J. Harty, trainer of Mossy Island, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge scoped wrong post race.

189G Ballinrobe Golf Club INH Flat Race

Mr S. Crawford, rider of Haveinosay, trained by H.Fitzpatrick, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels when losing her place and slipped up through no fault of any other rider.
